The fifth season of The Boys will conclude the series, giving the creators license to eliminate even fan favorites without hesitation.
Karl Urban, who plays Billy Butcher on The Boys, warned fans that the final season will spare neither major nor minor characters. Speaking at Fan Expo in San Francisco, the actor said audiences should expect substantial casualties as early as the first episode of season five.
“We’ll throw you straight into the thick of it — in the best way. The stakes are higher than ever. Emotionally — when it comes to the characters and the attachments you’ve formed — you’ll face major losses in the very first episode.”
Creator and showrunner Eric Kripke has said the team is wrapping post-production and that season five will serve as the emotional climax of the entire saga. According to him, audiences can expect “the most ruthless yet most humane” finale in the show’s history.
The fifth season of The Boys is set to premiere on April 8, 2026.
