Pierce Brosnan Joins Extraction 3
Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan has officially joined the ensemble cast of the high-octane action sequel Extraction 3, according to a report by Deadline.
The project, slated for release on Netflix, will see Chris Hemsworth reprising his lead role. He will be joined by fellow cast members Idris Elba and Golshifteh Farahani, with Sam Hargrave returning to the director’s chair to helm the third installment of the franchise.
Plot details remain under wraps, though production is currently underway in Australia. The Extraction series debuted in 2020, followed by a successful sequel in 2023, both of which became massive hits for the streaming platform. The narrative centers on Tyler Rake, an elite black-ops mercenary who navigates perilous missions to rescue high-profile targets.
An official release date for the third chapter has yet to be announced. In the meantime, Brosnan is set to appear in the second season of the Paramount+ series The Family Stallone (premiering September 18).
