La La Land Cinematographer to Film Ghost Rider
Academy Award-winning cinematographer Linus Sandgren, celebrated for his work on La La Land, is set to lens Marvel’s upcoming Ghost Rider adaptation starring Ryan Gosling, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The blockbuster will be helmed by director Shawn Levy, with a screenplay penned by Jonathan Tropper.
The production team intends to shoot the feature on traditional film stock rather than digitally. Sandgren’s illustrious portfolio includes acclaimed titles such as Babylon, Saltburn, and Dune: Part Three. Furthermore, the cinematographer has previously collaborated with Damien Chazelle on First Man.
Principal photography for Ghost Rider is scheduled to kick off in New York in 2027, with the theatrical release slated for July 28, 2028. Additionally, Connor Storrie, breakout star of the series Heated Rivalry, is currently in talks to join the cast as the primary antagonist.
