Persona 3 Anime Film Series Now Streaming for Free on YouTube
Atlus released the original Persona 3 in 2006. Over the following two decades, the role-playing game received an updated edition, a PlayStation Portable port, and a full remake. That brings the total count to four versions, each featuring exclusive content or omitted systems. Choosing which version to experience can be daunting, particularly since finishing the campaign takes more than 60 hours on average.

Viewers can also turn to the animated adaptation. Atlus and Aniplex created a four-part film series starting with 2013’s Persona 3 The Movie #1: Spring of Birth, followed by subsequent installments in 2014, 2015, and 2016. The four films run for just over six hours combined, offering a much faster way to experience the narrative.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the franchise, Aniplex made the entire four-part film series available to stream for free on its official YouTube channel. Aniplex has not announced a specific end date, but the movies will only remain available for a limited time.

Condensing an expansive RPG into four anime films requires trade-offs. The adaptation cuts certain side characters and specific social link events, yet it preserves the core storyline and presents the world in continuous high-quality animation rather than brief cutscenes. Longtime players can use the films to revisit the plot, while newcomers can sample the story before deciding whether to tackle the full game.
