Paradox Interactive Announces Europa Universalis V DLC Across the Pillars
Developers are preparing new bureaucratic mechanics alongside other additions.
Paradox Interactive recently revealed a trailer for the Across the Pillars expansion for the grand strategy game Europa Universalis V. This time, the creators will invite players to enter the struggle for the Strait of Gibraltar and decide the fate of the Iberian Peninsula.
The game will add content for several powers competing for dominance in Southwestern Europe, namely Castile, Morocco, and Granada.
New historical events are in the works for the powers of the Iberian Peninsula and the Maghreb, and new bureaucratic mechanics inspired by the history of North Africa, Portugal, and Spain will also appear.
Update 1.4, Rio Salado, is scheduled for release on October 28 with various new features. The update will introduce a new travel system (Expeditions), where some journeys will follow a set historical route while others will carve out their own path. Certain routes will become a global race in which the first nation to achieve success can claim a reward.
The full patch notes are available in the Europa Universalis V community at the following link.
