Owlcat Details Blind Descent Playtest and Free Steam Demo
Developers are testing the game ahead of its full launch.
Owlcat Games not only creates games like Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous and Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, but the studio also operates a publishing division. It oversees the Meta Publishing label, which is set to release the game Blind Descent from developer Pokuch.
A playtest for the game is currently underway on Steam, which Owlcat Games recently discussed:
Our friends at Meta Publishing have launched a playtest for their game Blind Descent. Mars awaits! Explore alien jungles, encounter unusual animals, and adapt to survive in the underground world.
According to the story in Blind Descent, players venture into the depths of Mars alone or in groups of up to four pioneers. However, the standard expedition quickly turns into a fight for survival as the underground world “proves to be a living ecosystem that reacts to the intrusion” during exploration.
Pioneers will need to scan and study local life forms, gather resources, craft tools, and build shelters. Underground storms can occur beneath the surface of Mars, and players will also encounter aggressive creatures and toxic gases.

You can add Blind Descent to your Steam wishlist and sign up for the playtest via the following link. Requests should be approved instantly after clicking the Request Access button.
