Rockstar’s GTA VI Will Get an Upgrade System for Physical Copies
Rockstar Games will let players upgrade a physical copy of GTA VI to the Ultimate Edition by purchasing a digital upgrade through the PlayStation or Xbox store.
The physical edition will include an activation code that lets players download the game and prepare for launch. After registering the base game to a PlayStation or Xbox account, players can buy the Ultimate Edition upgrade from the corresponding digital store.

The upgrade will give physical-edition owners access to the more expensive edition’s digital bonuses and content without buying the game again. Rockstar says players can upgrade at any time after purchasing the base game.
