NYCC’s Hazbin Hotel Panel Unveils Two New Clips and Broadway Concert Details

Season 1 of Vivienne Medrano‘s adult animated musical Hazbin Hotel lays the groundwork for several bitter rivalries. At New York Comic Con, Prime Video screened two fresh clips from season 2 during the show’s panel, offering a glimpse of how those tensions escalate — with the season slated to arrive on Prime Video on Oct. 29.

In season 1, fallen angel Lucifer Morningstar and the manipulative radio demon Alastor each attempt to win the loyalty of Lucifer’s daughter Charlie (Erika Henningsen), the story’s idealistic protagonist who wants to rehabilitate Hell’s inhabitants and send them to Heaven. Charlie’s partner Vaggie clashes with her former celestial ally Lute, who harbors a lethal contempt for denizens of Hell and believes annihilation is their just desert. Meanwhile, Alastor and the TV demon Vox maneuver for dominance over the underworld.

Above all, Heaven — embodied by Lute (Jessica Vosk) and her commander Adam (Alex Brightman), now leading Heaven’s demon-extermination force — aggressively targets Hell. That conflict turns one-sided when Charlie defends Hell and, in a major turning point, Adam is killed (spoiler alert). The first NYCC clip highlights the song “Gravity” (now streaming via digital music platforms), with Lute blaming Charlie for Adam’s death and vowing retribution — even threatening Vaggie to make Charlie feel the void of losing someone central to her life.

The second clip presents a cooler, more calculating Vox as he outlines a strategy to seize control of Hell, recruiting Valentino and Velvette to his cause — a plot first hinted at in season 1’s closing number and reiterated in the season 2 teaser and trailers.

The panel also revealed details about a one-night live Hazbin Hotel concert on Oct. 20 in New York City. Hosted by Erika Henningsen, the event features performances by series regulars Blake Roman, Amir Talai, Alex Brightman, Christian Borle, Jessica Vosk, Jeremy Jordan, and Krystina Alabado, who will sing selections from both seasons. Stephanie Beatriz and Kimiko Glenn were announced as special guests. Fans can request tickets on the event page, and Prime Video says the concert will be made available to stream at a later date.

Finally, the panel unveiled an NYCC-exclusive collector’s vinyl edition of the season 2 soundtrack, available for a limited window via the series’ music store — which is also offering CD and cassette editions for collectors. Order details are on the official music site.
