Cruising Nordic Horizons — Nordic Horizons DLC Launch Event
Join us on Thursday, the 27th of November to celebrate the release of the Nordic Horizons DLC with our World of Trucks event — Cruising Nordic Horizons. Set out across Scandinavia’s northern reaches, where towering fjords and braided rivers carve a landscape of stark beauty.
We’re challenging our #BestCommunityEver to contribute to a shared target of 300,000,000 km (approximately 186,411,358 miles) driven while picking up or delivering cargo to any city featured in the Nordic Horizons map.
While #CruisingNordicHorizons, expect to traverse rugged coastlines, narrow country lanes, and vibrant northern settlements. From long summer twilights to landscapes steeped in local heritage, the routes promise memorable views and rewarding hauls.
Northern Scandinavia has moved beyond its traditional fishing and farming roots into a region of growing strategic and economic significance. With modern infrastructure supporting industries from renewable energy and mining to shipping, tourism, and artisanal crafts, truckers are essential in linking remote communities and supporting regional growth.

Highlights you’ll encounter on your route include:

Tromsø — the “Gateway to the Arctic,” renowned for its lively cultural scene and aurora viewing.

Lofoten Islands — dramatic coastal cliffs, traditional fishing hamlets, and spectacular panoramas.

Rovaniemi — the capital of Finnish Lapland and the celebrated home of Santa Claus.

Nordkapp — stand at Europe’s edge beneath the midnight sun.
You can explore these locations and more using your own trailer through the external market during the event.
Event objectives
Tour the region and visit any of the 41 cities available. To complete your personal objective, finish at least one delivery to or from six different cities in each of the three countries featured in Nordic Horizons. Succeeding at your personal goal makes you eligible for unique rewards.
All event jobs must be a minimum of 150 km. You can verify whether a recent run qualifies by checking your Log Book on your World of Trucks profile.
Rules
Use External Contracts or the External Market with a World of Trucks-linked profile in Euro Truck Simulator 2. The community target is to reach 300,000,000 km driven while completing deliveries to or from any city within Nordic Horizons.
To meet your personal objective, complete one delivery to or from six distinct cities in each of Norway, Sweden, and Finland (all cities must be located in Nordic Horizons). Jobs must be at least 150 km in length. Confirm qualifying jobs via your World of Trucks Log Book.
Rewards

Personal reward: Players who complete deliveries to the required 18 cities (six per country) will earn a World of Trucks achievement and a themed ETS2 truck paint job — Northern Tides — as a Steam inventory item.

Community reward: If the community reaches the 300,000,000 km milestone and you have completed your personal goal, you will receive a striking Viking Helmet dashboard ornament for your Steam inventory.
Note: To qualify for the community reward you must complete your personal objective in Euro Truck Simulator 2. All rewards are issued as Steam inventory items — claim them from the Events page on your World of Trucks profile. The event concludes on Sunday, the 1st of February at 23:59 UTC.
