Noah Kahan Supports Chappell Roan for Confronting VMAs Photographer: ‘Great Job Standing Up for Yourself’

Noah Kahan might state that “I just like to play the victim,” yet he’s not worried to praise fellow musician Chappell Roan for calling out inappropriate habits.

Roan made headings on the red rug of the 2024 MTV VMAs Wednesday (Sept 11), when she faced a professional photographer that showed up to inform her to “shut the f–k up” when she averted from the video cameras for a minute. “You shut the f–k up!” the pop vocalist slapped back. “Not me, b—h.”

The “Stick Season” vocalist reposted a clip of the experience on X, informing followers regarding his very own less-than-ideal experiences with impolite professional photographers throughout his occupation. “I’ll never forget leaving [the] Clive Davis [pre-Grammy gala] and the horrific s–t photographers and paparazzi or whatever were saying to me in front of my sweet mom who couldn’t believe it was actually happening,” Kahan created. “Love this @ChappellRoan way to stand up for yourself.”

When one follower said regarding an absence of expertise from some professional photographers, Kahan fasted to respond, making clear that “most I’ve interacted with are kind and professional.” However, he claimed minority that act improperly sour the entire experience. “There are some parasites who intentionally instigate confrontations with caring people who are there to live out a dream in order to further their own interests. Its so toxic and f–k them for that.”

Outside of the red rug, Roan had a large evening at the VMAs.
