No Man’s Sky’s catalogue of free updates continues to expand.
Hello Games has returned to No Man’s Sky with a substantial update called Breach.
The game’s spacefaring systems have been expanded: you can now investigate the wreckage of other starships and salvage materials. Those resources can then be used to unlock shipbuilding components, including rare vertical parts that open up an array of new assembly configurations.
Among the expedition-exclusive rewards is a set of Atlas-styled modules. […] The crown jewel of these wrecks is “Arcadia”, whose fate you will uncover while exploring the Breach. But you’ll need to face your fears and take a leap of faith into the darkness, passing through those unsettling systems to recover their unique remnants.
The head of Hello Games commented on the launch of Breach:
This year has been incredible for the No Man’s Sky team, and we’re immensely proud that nine years after release we’re still able to work on the game we all love. Seeing how many people enjoyed the “Voyagers” update has been hugely inspiring, and we can’t wait for you to discover what’s next.
