Nintendo Announces Switch 2 Price Increases in Several Countries
Nintendo has officially announced upcoming price increases for the base model of the Nintendo Switch 2 in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, and Europe, scheduled to take effect in September 2026.
In the UK, the price of the Switch 2 will rise from £395.99 to £419.99. In Ireland, the console’s cost will increase from €469.99 to €499.99.
The move marks the latest stage in global price adjustments for the hardware. In the US, the recommended retail price will climb from $449.99 to $499.99, while most European markets will see prices shift from $469.99 to $499.99.

Nintendo previously raised prices on the original Switch. The company cited broader economic challenges and rising manufacturing costs as the reasons behind the price revision.
The updated pricing will appear on the Nintendo Store in the UK and Ireland starting in September. No further price increases have been announced at this time.
