Nine Years Later, Danganronpa’s Online Player Count Jumps 60-Fold and Sets a Steam Record
Recently, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc has experienced a notable resurgence in popularity.
At the end of November the game’s online population jumped dramatically. Where it had been lingering around 100–200 concurrent players, it recently surpassed 10,000 — establishing a new record for peak simultaneous users.
Previously, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc was listed at a record low price — the game briefly sold for just $1.19.
Steam trading cards are also available for Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, so the surge in interest may not be solely from players. Some opportunists might have employed bot farms to farm the cards.
