NieR: Automata Update Increases Game’s Size on Steam to 366 GB
The latest NieR: Automata update has increased the Steam version’s installation size to 366 GB with all add-ons included. A technical error appears to be adding the full size of the game to the size of each DLC.
Before the update, NieR: Automata required about 50 GB of free space. Now, Steam may ask for more than seven times as much when players try to install the game with its add-ons. Neither Square Enix nor PlatinumGames has officially commented on the issue.

The update itself was modest, adding support for three languages: Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. The game’s Steam page still lists a 50 GB storage requirement, while the inflated figure appears when players attempt to install it.
The problem has reportedly disappeared for some users, but others are still being asked to free up 366 GB. NieR: Automata has begun receiving negative Steam reviews from players who cannot install or launch the game.
