All Big Poe Locations in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Big Poes are large ghosts scattered across Hyrule Field in the The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. Like ordinary Poes, they can be captured in bottles and sold to the Poe Collector in Hyrule Castle Town. Each Big Poe earns you 30 rupees, making the full hunt a worthwhile way to fill your wallet.
Tracking them down takes some effort, but the Poe Collector also offers special rewards for bringing in these elusive spirits. Here’s where to find all 10 Big Poes, how to catch them, and what you’ll receive for selling them.

Before setting out, you’ll need Epona and the Fairy Bow from the Forest Temple. Bring as many empty bottles as possible, too, since each captured Big Poe requires a bottle until you sell it.

With Epona and your bow ready, search Hyrule Field for purple lanterns attached to trees, fences, and walls. Jump over the marked obstacle to make a Big Poe appear, then chase it down on horseback.
Each Big Poe takes two regular arrows or one Light Arrow to defeat. They move quickly, so aim before they escape. If one gets away, jump over its obstacle again to make it reappear.

There are 10 Big Poes in total, with their locations marked on the map above. Visit the Poe Collector as you gather them, and claim your rewards after selling five and then all 10.

The Poe Collector occupies the old guard room in Hyrule Castle Town. Enter the town as adult Link and turn right to find the purple door leading to his shop.
In addition to 30 rupees for each Big Poe, you’ll receive these rewards:
- Five Big Poes: An empty bottle
- 10 Big Poes: A Gold Rupee worth 200 rupees
