New Season of “Monsters” Gets Release Date

Netflix has announced that the fourth installment of the “Monsters” anthology series will premiere on September 17. These upcoming episodes will delve into the infamous case of Lizzie Borden.

Borden is central to one of America’s most notorious true-crime mysteries: in 1892, she was accused of murdering her father and stepmother with an axe, only to be acquitted by a jury. The lead role will be portrayed by Ella Beatty (“Feud”).

The cast also features Rebecca Hall, Vicky Krieps, Sarah Paulson as serial killer Aileen Wuornos, and Charlie Hunnam, who will play Borden’s father. The series is created by Ryan Murphy, the visionary behind “American Horror Story.”

The series’ inaugural season focused on Jeffrey Dahmer (Evan Peters), the second season centered on the Menéndez brothers (Cooper Koch, Nicholas Alexander Chavez), and the third followed Ed Gein (Hunnam).
