For nearly a decade, PUBG: Battlegrounds has served as a cornerstone of the tactical battle royale genre. Now, the franchise is taking an unexpected and adrenaline-fueled detour with the official reveal of PUBG DED.NET during Gamescom Opening Night Live.

Publisher Krafton frames PUBG: DED.NET as an inventive multiplayer first-person shooter that weaves high-stakes gunplay with roguelite run progression. This structure encourages players to continuously experiment, adapt, and devise customized playstyles against the backdrop of an enigmatic, alternate 1990s Cascadia. Matching the on-screen pandemonium, the reveal showcases action synced to the relentless pulse of Ministry’s industrial rock anthem, “Jesus Built My Hotrod.”

Prospective operatives can already secure a spot in the upcoming closed beta by registering directly on the official PUBG DED.NET website.

The tactical spin-off isn’t the sole expansion planned for the broader universe. Krafton is simultaneously developing PUBG: Black Budget, a high-stakes extraction shooter aimed at shaking up the genre. While an official launch window has yet to be finalized, players can register for upcoming alpha playtests to receive direct email invitations once server slots open.
