New Pokémon Release Introduces Hundreds of New Eeveelutions

Comment Views: 1

With eight official evolutions in existence, enthusiasts of the iconic Normal-type Pokémon certainly have a solid selection at their disposal. Yet, paradoxically, the community often feels profoundly underserved. After all, more than a decade has passed since Game Freak debuted Sylveon back in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y in 2013. Considering the franchise now features 18 core elemental types, players have yet to witness even half of the potential evolutionary concepts—to say nothing of the countless hybrid variations that could emerge if developers ever decided to merge multiple elemental categories.

While upcoming titles like Pokémon Winds and Waves might eventually introduce a fresh evolution line, an official release remains distant. Rather than waiting idly for an unlikely announcement, devoted fans can instantly scratch that creative itch by diving into a remarkably ambitious fan-made ROM hack titled Pokémon Oops! All Eevees.

The Ultimate Evolutionary Experience

True to its title, this project is far more than a simple reskin. While every standard creature in the adventure has been swapped out for a tailored evolution variant, the visionary creator 999999999 has populated the world with an incredible array of entirely original designs. Players can encounter a mesmerizing Ghost-type named Fanteon, a soaring Flying-type known as Aeraerieon, and a punchy Fighting-type dubbed Aercampeon, alongside many others. The project boldly reinterprets existing elements too, with several of these imaginative variants featuring distinct multi-tiered evolutionary branches of their own.

Altogether, Oops! All Eevees seamlessly weaves a staggering 326 unique variations into the foundational framework of Pokémon FireRed. For those curious about the sheer scale of the roster, a video showcasing a rapid showcase of every available creature clocks in at nearly 40 minutes.

Quality-of-life improvements are equally abundant; every traditional evolution receives modernized move pools, and Rare Candies are dispensed generously to bypass tedious level grinding. Moreover, a reworked endgame sequence is specifically designed to thoroughly test a player’s mastery of the lineage. If hundreds of options still aren’t enough, the game even introduces specialized trainer attire that transforms your avatar’s appearance to match your favorite form—complete with a built-in mechanic that lets you “evolve” yourself.

Although a playable build is already live, development is far from complete. 999999999 has lined up a major content patch for November 21—coinciding with official Eevee Day in Japan—which will expand the Pokédex entries and add vibrant new overworld sprites.

Until then, there is more than enough content here to keep enthusiasts thoroughly occupied. The developer has teased on social media with tongue-in-cheek hints like, “Surely there aren’t any secret Eevees located anywhere, like under the Truck or in Cerulean Cave.” Another post hints at the inclusion of a supreme “Eevee deity” that harnesses every single elemental power simultaneously—and thrillingly, it isn’t even the final adversary.

Initial community reception has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic. One satisfied player declared that the project is “everything I’ve ever wanted,” while others have already begun designing custom box art to celebrate the release. You can download and experience Oops! All Eevees directly through the PokéCommunity forums.

Eight Eeveelutions. One impossible decision.
