Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Xbox Player Count 32 Percent Lower Than Black Ops 7
The shooter simply is not in Game Pass.
The new installment of Call of Duty launched on Xbox notably worse than its predecessor. According to TrueAchievements data, the audience for Modern Warfare 4 on the platform is 32% smaller than last year’s Black Ops 7.
Despite generally positive reviews for the campaign and multiplayer modes of Modern Warfare 4, the shooter faced a weaker launch in terms of player engagement. Unlike the previous installment, the new Call of Duty did not enter the Game Pass catalog at release, meaning service subscribers missed the chance to try it without an additional purchase.

Furthermore, according to TrueAchievements data, Modern Warfare 4 lagged behind several other major Xbox releases in player count at launch, including Halo: Campaign Evolved, Forza Horizon 6, and Gears of War: E-Day. The gap with Forza Horizon 6 is especially noticeable, as the racing game attracted nearly 50% more players in its first week after release than the new Call of Duty.
