NVIDIA has introduced new graphics technologies for Minecraft. RTX Remix 1.6 will make it possible to overhaul the game’s lighting.
The main new feature of RTX Remix 1.6 is support for Minecraft: Java Edition 1.21.1. The open beta in the Fabric mod format uses path tracing, providing realistic lighting, reflections, shadows, and ambient occlusion. DLSS, a showcase world by Blockworks, and a high-resolution texture pack from Lightspeed Studios are available.
NVIDIA is also developing ACE AI tools with the Nemotron 3.5 Bolt E4B model for more complex NPC interactions with the player, as well as technologies for Unreal Engine 5.8 and MotionBricks character animation generation.
