Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis to Offer Unusual Difficulty Customization
The first Tomb Raider remake by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog will launch on February 12, 2027, for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game reimagines Lara Croft’s debut adventure, which marks its 30th anniversary this year.
Players can independently adjust puzzle and combat difficulty, as well as disable leveling and crafting systems, to appeal to both fans of the classic entries and the modern trilogy.

In an interview with MP1ST, game experience director Jeff Adams explained that players will be able to independently regulate puzzle and combat difficulty. For example, fans of the original game can make puzzles more difficult and reduce combat difficulty, whereas fans of the modern Survivor series can focus more on combat.
We want to give players all the tools they need to tailor the gameplay experience to their preferences. […] We know there are players who just want to run through the world with two pistols and not use leveling or crafting systems – and they will be able to do that. But if you want to enhance Lara’s combat abilities, use additional weapons, or use a scanner for hints, all of that will be available. This is about complete freedom of choice.
