Sega Shows New Virtua Fighter Crossroads Fighter with Possible Classic Character Connection
SEGA has introduced a new fighter named Lionel Rafale to Virtua Fighter Crossroads, a young martial artist who developers assert is capable of defeating one of the game’s main protagonists.
Lionel has arrived in the city of Vilasapara, although his reasons for appearing are currently unknown. The developers state that he is capable of defeating Cielo, one of the four main characters in the new game. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is also preparing a story campaign.
Although the creators have not yet disclosed the fighter’s identity, similar names, lines about a wealthy father, and a fighting style reminiscent of the signature Turo-ken technique point to a familial relation to Lion Rafale from previous games in the series. Whether this theory is confirmed will become known next year.
