New Johnny Depp movie to be released in Russia
The Volga film distribution company has secured the Russian rights to the upcoming fantasy thriller Day Drinker, starring Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz.
The film is scheduled to premiere on March 25, 2027. The narrative unfolds aboard a cruise ship where Lorna (Madelyn Cline), a bartender, becomes entangled in a dangerous conflict with a criminal syndicate led by the formidable Kara (Cruz). She finds an unlikely protector in Mr. Kelly (Depp), a mysterious passenger whose polished charm masks a deep-seated grief and a relentless pursuit of vengeance for his deceased daughter.
Directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) and penned by screenwriter Zach Dean (The Gorge), Day Drinker is one of several highly anticipated projects for Depp, who is also set to appear in the upcoming film Ebenezer.
