New details revealed about the story DLC for DOOM: The Dark Ages

The developers are preparing fresh content for the shooter.

Recently the game director of DOOM: The Dark Ages hosted a stream and revealed a few details about the upcoming expansion.

• The expansion will introduce Marok with a more prominent role, and players can expect a journey into a cosmic realm.
• First-person cutscenes will be given a more cinematic treatment.
• Levels will feature backtracking (returning to prior areas) alongside exploration elements.
• The team will add more mobility options — generally optional, but mandatory in certain segments.
• The Order of the Six (Орден Шести) has been confirmed as the “High Council.” Witches will not appear in the DLC.
• Details on the Ripatorium 2.0 training area will be shared in the coming weeks.
• The sarcophagus in Dark Ages is the same one seen in DOOM (2016).
