New Bond Film Director Finishes Script
British screenwriter Steven Knight, best known for Peaky Blinders, has confirmed the completion of the initial draft for the 26th James Bond feature film.
Knight described the monumental task as “a duty to King and country.”
I’m absolutely loving the process. It is a profound honor. I truly believe everything will come together beautifully, and I have every confidence in the project,
— Knight remarked during an interview with Greatest Hits radio. He had previously hinted that he is already aware of who will step into the shoes of the iconic 007.
Speculation surrounding the casting of the new Bond has intensified recently. Among the leading contenders frequently mentioned in the media are Jack Lowden (Slow Horses), Jacob Elordi (Euphoria), and Paul Mescal (Gladiator II), among others.
The film is set to be directed by Denis Villeneuve (Dune), though an official release date has yet to be announced.
