Netflix Unveils Trailer for New Lego One Piece Special
One Piece audiences have a packed slate of releases ahead. Beyond the ongoing manga and Toei Animation’s long-running anime, Netflix is developing multiple projects tied to the franchise. Alongside a third season of the streamer’s live-action show and WIT Studio’s upcoming anime remake, Netflix revealed a trailer for Lego One Piece. The two-part special retells key storylines from the live-action series using the original cast members for the voice work.

The preview showcases the Straw Hat Pirates sailing toward the Grand Line and battling Buggy the Clown. A stylized VCR fast-forward effect quickly moves the narrative ahead to Chopper’s Drum Island arc. Framed around an embellished retelling by Usopp, the special recaps earlier events before the live-action show returns next year. Lego One Piece premieres on Sept. 29.

Netflix also shared a teaser image for The One Piece, a new anime adaptation restarting the tale from chapter one. WIT Studio, the production house behind Attack on Titan, Spy x Family, and Ranking of Kings, is handling animation. Viewers expect a faithful adaptation that skips the filler arcs found in Toei Animation’s version. The One Piece debuts on Netflix in February 2027, arriving in the same year as the live-action series’ third season.

The franchise is also venturing into restaurant simulation with One Piece Grand Gourmet. The game launches Oct. 23 on mobile platforms, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and Steam. Kairosoft, the studio behind Game Dev Story, is leading development.

Eiichiro Oda’s original manga recently crossed chapter 1190. Oda has stated that the narrative is heading toward its conclusion over the next few years. Toei’s television adaptation continues to track closely behind the print release. After broadcasting weekly for years, Toei is shifting its production pace to deliver 26 episodes or fewer annually.
