Netflix has officially wrapped production on its upcoming series, “Scooby-Doo: Origins,” with filming concluding in Atlanta. The streaming giant announced that the show is slated for release in 2027.

The series chronicles the formation of the iconic Mystery Inc. gang, featuring Daphne (Mckenna Grace), Fred (Maxwell Jenkins), Shaggy (Tanner Hagen), Velma (Abby Ryder Fortson), and, of course, Scooby-Doo. The narrative is set at a summer camp, where the adolescent protagonists will encounter their first taste of the supernatural, aided by a stray puppy named Scooby.

The project is helmed by writers Josh Appelbaum (“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”) and Scott Rosenberg (“Venom”). The supporting cast includes Paul Walter Hauser, André Benjamin, and Cathy Moriarty. The inaugural season will consist of eight episodes.
