Even as the main My Hero Academia anime reaches its emotional conclusion, the franchise is experiencing a vibrant rebirth in honor of its 10th anniversary. To commemorate this decade-long milestone and ring in the new year, the show’s official social channels released a poignant new illustration featuring a matured Deku and his mother. This adult design offers a clearer look at the Izuku Midoriya seen during the series’ eight-year timeskip, providing a final, heartwarming update on Class 1-A’s professional hero lives.

Fans eager for a deeper look into the post-war society won’t have to wait long. A brand-new special, titled My Hero Academia Episode 170+1: “More,” has been greenlit. This upcoming release will adapt the expanded epilogue originally featured in the final manga volume—content that arrived months after the initial Shonen Jump serialization ended. The episode is slated for a Japanese premiere on May 2.

The anniversary festivities extend far beyond the screen. Alongside the "More" special and a cinematic tribute to the final season, a global concert tour is set to launch in 2026. Furthermore, the legacy continues with the second season of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, which arrives on Crunchyroll on January 5, proving that there are still plenty of heroic tales left to tell.

“We are immensely proud to celebrate a full decade of My Hero Academia with our global community,” a Toho representative remarked to Variety regarding the milestone. “This anniversary honors ten years of legendary battles and unforgettable character journeys, all made possible by the incredible passion of our audience.”

The emotional weight of the series' end was felt deeply by the English voice cast as well. Many actors expressed that saying goodbye to these characters was an incredibly moving experience, mirroring the tearful farewells of the fans who have followed the journey since the beginning.
