The horror title Finding Frankie, released in 2024 for PC, PS5, and Xbox, is being adapted for the big screen. Producer Sean Robins — known for his work on Mortal Kombat — is leading the project, with Steven S. Miller set to direct. The screenplay is being penned by Cory Todd Hughes and Adrian Speckert.
The film intends to preserve the game’s tone — a fusion of dread and extreme challenges. It centers on a group of contestants taking part in a bizarre television competition staged inside a sprawling trampoline park, full of traps and deadly obstacles. As with the source material, the story blends action with mounting suspense.
SUPERLOU Games, the studio that developed the game, approved the adaptation after the concept attracted significant attention. No premiere date has been announced yet; only that production is already in progress.
While video game-to-film adaptations are often hit-or-miss, the creative team’s background in action and horror offers reason to hope the film will maintain the original’s tension and atmosphere.
