The lack of a PC version for GTA VI has not stopped tech enthusiasts from showcasing console gameplay.

Recently, the attention of many PC gamers became focused on NBA 2K27. This installment could have been just another sports release, but dataminers found the NVIDIA DLSS 5 library inside the basketball simulator. The extracted files were soon applied to other games, yielding unusual results in some cases and surprisingly pleasing graphics in others. Recordings of tests involving the technology across a wide variety of games and other applications are actively being published online.

A presentation for Grand Theft Auto VI took place recently. The game is not coming to PC just yet, and Rockstar Games showcased a console version for the PlayStation 5, but that has not stopped tech enthusiasts.

YouTube channel creator PureDark demonstrated what DLSS 5 could look like in GTA VI. Adjusting the lighting helps accentuate certain details in the frames, making the overall image look more realistic while keeping character facial features normal.

Meanwhile, Grand Theft Auto V has long been available on PC and was also tested with NVIDIA DLSS 5. User Lootward decided to compare gameplay running DLSS 5 with footage from GTA VI:

The technology was also tested in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, prompting some viewers to joke that they will not be able to sleep after seeing the results:

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, DLSS 5 currently delivers some of the best results according to certain players.

Tech enthusiasts have already released the “dlss5-dx11-bridge” utility, which makes it possible to run DLSS 5 in DirectX 11-based games.
