Microsoft Asks $900 for Its Anniversary Console

Microsoft has officially announced pre-order and launch dates for the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition, a special console release commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Xbox brand.

Pre-orders open on August 27 at 5:00 PM MSK. Select Xbox fans will receive special invitations allowing them to secure a pre-order ahead of the general public.

The console launches on November 13 for $899.99. The bundle includes a download code for Halo: Campaign Evolved, a remake of Bungie’s shooter that launched the Xbox platform in 2001.

The Xbox Series X25 design takes visual cues from the original Xbox console. The casing features Master Chief’s helmet, while each unit receives a unique engraved serial number. Microsoft also incorporated several hidden Easter eggs into the console’s exterior details.

Microsoft will also sell a matching anniversary controller separately, starting October 20. The gamepad mirrors original Xbox styling through its overall shell design and classic brand logo, with black and white bumper buttons referencing the button layout from the original hardware.
