‘Michael’ Star to Join Will Smith in New Thriller
Jaafar Jackson, best known for his lead role in the biopic Michael, has officially joined the cast of the upcoming action-thriller Supermax. He will star alongside Will Smith and AnnaSophia Robb.
First announced in May, the film follows two FBI agents tasked with investigating a murder within the walls of the world’s most secure prison. The project will be helmed by director David Gordon Green, recognized for his work on the recent Halloween trilogy, with a screenplay penned by David Weil and David J. Rosen (Hunters).
Jaafar Jackson is the nephew of the late “King of Pop,” Michael Jackson, and recently portrayed him in the eponymous biopic. Released in April, Michael became the highest-grossing biographical film in cinematic history, earning $1.016 billion globally, with a domestic Russian box office exceeding 2 billion rubles.
