Let Mortal Kombat Begin!: Cosplayers Turn into Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade from the Mortal Kombat Series
Cosplayers Gaiar and Many-Faced Demon transported fans into the brutal realm of Mortal Kombat, where martial artists clash relentlessly and perform “Fatalities.” They embodied the roles of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade.
On October 30, the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection launched on consoles and PC, compiling the core early-era Mortal Kombat fighting games, an interactive documentary, in-depth character histories, and additional extras.
To mark the occasion, cosplayers Gaiar and Many-Faced Demon (also known as Svetik Danna) released a series of photos celebrating the Mortal Kombat franchise. This time they took on the personas of the iconic fighters Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade.
In the original timeline, Johnny Cage was one of Earth’s most powerful combatants — a megastar Hollywood actor who appeared in more than a dozen films. He can temporarily surge his speed, unleash energy spheres from his hands, drop into a split, and strike an opponent with a brutal groin attack.
Sonya Blade is a lieutenant in a U.S. special forces unit. She fiercely protects her friends and allies and is prepared to take calculated risks to accomplish her goals.
