Lego Unveils 6,130-Piece Star Wars Super Star Destroyer Set

Three of the biggest sets produced by Lego come directly from the Star Wars galaxy. The 2025 Death Star model leads the pack with 9,023 pieces, followed by the Millennium Falcon at 7,541 pieces and the AT-AT at 6,785 pieces. The Lego Group revealed another massive addition to the lineup: the Lego Star Wars Executor Super Star Destroyer.

The set contains 6,130 pieces. While that total falls short of the top three sets, the model claims a separate milestone. The Lego Group confirmed that the build is now “the longest Lego Star Wars brick-built model to date.”

The ship recreates Darth Vader’s flagship from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. According to Wookieepedia, the in-universe vessel spans 19,000 meters. The Lego version measures 53.5 inches (136 cm) in length. To support the build, the design team “engineered a Lego System core with slender Lego Technic outriggers that anchor the exterior panels, delivering strength without bulk.”

The Lego Group highlighted the ship’s surface construction and lighting techniques:

Authenticity and detail are at the heart of this set, which features dense central greebling contrasted against sleek side panels. Among the 6,130 elements is a newly designed decorated tile graphic used 60 times to recreate the tiny hull lights and central detailing. The graphic works across multiple orientations and overlaps, allowing the repeated tiles read as organic “random lights”. Controlled inversions are utilised to switch building orientation mid-build, exposing both stud and tube sides for richer detailing on the center spine and underside.

The set features accompanying ships built to scale. A miniature standard Star Destroyer is dwarfed alongside the flagship, and a tiny Millennium Falcon attaches directly to the smaller destroyer’s rear section.

Priced at $799.99, the set includes seven minifigures. Builders can recreate the famous bounty hunter scene with minifigures of Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Dengar, Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss, alongside a minifigure-scale recreation of the Executor bridge.
