Leaked Details Suggest New Mortal Kombat Developer Game Features Batwoman and Supergirl

NetherRealm Studios’ unannounced new game, widely suspected to be a return of the Injustice series, may have leaked alongside its first characters after a stunt performer’s materials referenced Batwoman and Supergirl.

MP1ST discovered the information regarding NetherRealm Studios’ new project in the resume of a stunt performer who has regularly worked with NetherRealm on motion capture. The document also mentions Jake Huang, a studio animator and stunt coordinator who previously worked on Mortal Kombat 1.

Supergirl’s appearance would not come as a surprise, given that she played a major role in Injustice 2 and ultimately turned against Superman to join the restored Justice League. Batwoman is a more novel addition because she has not previously appeared in the main games of the series. In the Injustice comic books, Kate Kane was killed by Superman, so her presence could point to story changes.

NetherRealm has not officially announced Injustice 3, so the information remains a rumor. MP1ST also reports on possible playtests for the game taking place in California.
