KION Begins Filming Historical Drama “Kulikovo Field”

The streaming platform KION has officially commenced production on a new historical series titled “Kulikovo Field.” The ensemble cast features notable actors including Fyodor Dobronravov, Kirill Käro, Anton Khabarov, Igor Stepashin, and Tina Stoyilkovich.

Set against the backdrop of the lead-up to the historic Battle of Kulikovo, the drama follows Prince Mikhail. After suffering a crushing defeat at the hands of Mamai, the prince finds himself stripped of everything he holds dear. Faced with a harrowing dilemma, he must set aside his personal vendettas to join the broader cause of uniting the Russian principalities against an existential threat.

Directed by Sergey Filatov, known for his work on the series “Bar ‘One Call’,” the project aims to frame epic historical milestones through the intimate stories of individuals for whom the fight for Russia’s future represents both a political mission and a profound personal odyssey.
