King Gnu Releases Music Video for Ghost in the Shell Opening GO GHOST

The new adaptation of Masamune Shirow’s manga has reached the midpoint of its first season.

King Gnu has released the official music video for “GO GHOST” on its official YouTube channel, serving as the opening theme for Science SARU’s new Ghost in the Shell anime.

The video release marks the halfway point of the season. On August 4, Prime Video and Kinopoisk will premiere the fifth of ten episodes in the series, titled “Ghost Fund,” which is based on the corresponding chapter from Masamune Shirow’s original manga.

Science SARU is producing the new adaptation. Moko-chan, who previously worked as an assistant director on the first season of Dandadan, serves as director. Toh Enjoe, known for Godzilla Singular Point, wrote the script, while Shuhei Handa, who worked on Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, handled character design. Taisei Iwasaki, Ryo Konishi, and Yuki Kanesaka composed the music for the anime.
