Insider Reveals Details of Battlefield 6 Battle Royale — Some Gamers Are Upset
It appears that, at launch, only squads will be able to participate in matches.
According to various leaks and rumors, Battlefield 6 is expected to reveal a Battle Royale mode on October 28. ModernWarzone has also joined the conversation about the mode.
They report that at the start players will have only a couple of choices: compete as a duo (two players) or in a four-player squad. Supposedly, support for different squad sizes may be added later.
So, with 100 players in a match there would be a maximum of 25 teams (if squads of 4) or 50 teams (if duos).
Some players are upset — they believe the BF6 team is making a mistake:
TheGhostOfHope: Why replicate Warzone’s flaws that made it harder for people to enjoy the game?
KevinOConnor: So they’re copying Warzone’s problems but removing trios and solos? Really…
EnigmaAMC: That’s embarrassing. Everything else about the Battle Royale sounds decent so far, but I hope other squad sizes arrive soon after launch.
DANNYonPC: Seriously… no solo at launch? That’s really disappointing.
