Cosplayer Portrays Rayne From BloodRayne
Cosplayer PHILOPHOBIA celebrated Halloween as Rayne from the BloodRayne series in a special photo shoot by photographer Shushuru.
Rayne is a dhampir who seeks to destroy her enemies, drink their blood and save humanity from enslavement by vampires and occult forces.

Half human and half vampire, Rayne devotes her life to hunting Nazis and bloodsuckers during World War II. Her distinctive look became a recognizable symbol of the gaming industry in the early 2000s.

Rayne has striking model-like looks, fiery red hair swept back and revealing clothes. Her signature weapons are massive double-edged blades attached to her forearms, which she uses to slice through enemies in close combat.

Rayne combines human emotions with frightening vampiric instincts. Her heritage means she does not fear holy water or crosses, and she can withstand sunlight, though it noticeably weakens her. She also has immense physical strength and agility and can make acrobatic leaps to great heights.

The hunter is brash and cynical, with a dark sense of humor. Rayne is ruthless toward her enemies and takes genuine pleasure in killing them, often punctuating the violence with biting, sarcastic remarks.

Despite her outward coldness and self-centeredness, Rayne has her own code of honor and can show compassion for innocent people victimized by monsters. Deep personal trauma drives her, having transformed her from a frightened orphan into a deadly weapon.
