Dead by Daylight Developer Apologizes After Giving Streamer All DLC Characters and Perks
A member of the Dead by Daylight team gave Twitch streamer TheBurntPeanut free access to previously released downloadable content, prompting criticism of developer Behaviour Interactive and an apology from the studio.
During a recent broadcast, TheBurntPeanut, who uses an animated peanut avatar, received free access to all DLC characters and perks in the multiplayer horror game. The streamer joked that he had received “streamer privileges.”

Many Dead by Daylight community members criticized the developers over the gift. Behaviour Interactive employees also received direct threats.
The developers apologized in a statement:
This weekend, a member of the Dead by Daylight team granted in-game content and currency to a content creator who was streaming our game. While we often unlock content so creators who are new to DbD can see what is available in the game, in this case the decision was made without the necessary approvals […] When questions about this decision came up during the stream, we should have addressed them rather than dismissing them.
The developers also said that “threats against employees are unacceptable under any circumstances.”
