While KPop Demon Hunters fans wait for the sequel, Netflix is releasing new video content from the 2025 animated musical hit, starting with footage that never appeared in the film. On Monday, Netflix posted a short video showing the full choreography for Huntr/x’s “How It’s Done.” The company promises the clip “is just the opening act” for more KPop Demon Hunters reveals.

The animation is brief. It shows Rumi, Mira, and Zoey practicing the dance steps to “How It’s Done.” In the film, the group performs most of the song during an airborne fight against the forces of darkness. The movie’s opening act shows only a small part of the group’s actual concert performance. The new clip shows how the Huntr/x trio officially dances to the track.

KPop Demon Hunters’ new short is technically a ‘sequel’

The clip seems to take place after the movie. Rumi, Mira, and Zoey rehearse in a studio, and Rumi comfortably shows off her demonic patterns. In KPop Demon Hunters, she keeps that part of herself closely guarded.

The full “How It’s Done” choreography video is part of a larger rollout. Netflix will also reveal official choreography for “Golden,” “Takedown,” “Soda Pop,” and “Your Idol,” each as a full-length routine. The videos will arrive this week on Netflix’s social channels and its Tudum blog.

Rumi, Mira, and Zoey won’t be the ones dancing in those. It sounds like the film’s original choreographers, Nain, Leejung Lee, and K-Tigers, will perform the moves for fans. Netflix says they’ll “break down the signature poses and formations in a series of special episodes debuting soon on Netflix.”

Netflix announced the “How It’s Done” reveal on X on October 26, 2026, with the message “HUNTR/X don’t miss.”

Since the film’s release in June 2025, Netflix has mined it for extra content. The streamer has released an alternate sing-along version of the film, a series of lyric videos and bonus features, and a KPop Demon Hunters-themed fireplace video featuring the villain Gwi-Ma. Merchandise ranges from American Girl dolls to Lego sets.

Netflix is building up to KPop Demon Hunters 2

In March, Netflix officially signed a deal for a sequel. It struck a multiyear writing and directing partnership with the film’s directors, Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans. Rumors of a follow-up had circulated for months beforehand, as Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation eyed a sequel to the hit. Sony quickly entered negotiations to lock Kang and Appelhans down for KPop Demon Hunters 2.

KPop Demon Hunters is the most-watched Netflix movie of all time. It produced a chart-topping soundtrack, earned two Oscar nominations, won a Grammy, and drew in kids, tweens, and adults. Delivering a sequel to that phenomenon will be no easy feat. Kang, Appelhans, and their crew appear to have time to figure it out.

The sequel has no announced release date, but it sounds like it won’t arrive before 2029.
