In Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, you can recruit John Wick’s iconic dog as a dedicated sidekick. However, you’ll need to complete a specific quest to earn their loyalty.

To acquire this companion, you must either rescue or pet the dog. Since Season 3 introduced a massive, overhauled island map, tracking down this elusive pup can prove quite challenging.

Before you begin your search, ensure you have purchased the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Battle Pass; otherwise, the quest will be unavailable to you.

Below, we outline exactly how to locate and unlock John Wick’s dog.

Where to find John Wick’s dog in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3

Because the dog spawns randomly across several potential sites, there isn’t one “perfect” place to check every match. So far, we have successfully tracked them to the sewers beneath Battlewoods and the southern building at Sinister Strip.

Note that there is no marker for the dog on your main map. You must rely on your minimap, where you should look for a specific dog-and-cage icon. Alternatively, you can simply listen for the sound of barking to pinpoint their exact location.

Tracking the dog in Battlewoods

You may find the dog hidden within the sewers beneath Battlewoods. The most efficient way to gain access is to dive into the river adjacent to the area and scan the walls for an opening. Entrances are located along the eastern and northern walls. If you approach from the south, look for the tunnel opening positioned just east of the Golden Reel cinema.

Finding the dog at Sinister Strip

The dog also has a chance to appear in the southern building of the Sinister Strip. This structure is located just below the “Sinister Strip” label on your map and is easily identified by its distinct Dark Voyager statues. Enter the lobby to see if the dog is waiting inside or trapped in a nearby cage.

Rescuing or petting the dog

If you encounter the dog trapped in a cage, you will need to eliminate the surrounding security guards first. Once the area is clear, open the cage to rescue them. Completing the rescue mission rewards you with full health and shields, plus the powerful, mythic 9mm Baba Yaga pistol.

If the dog is already free, simply approach and pet them. This interaction will also fully replenish your health and shields.
