Cosplayer Portrays Lae’zel from Baldur’s Gate 3

Cosplayer XenyaMorph has transformed into the warrior Lae’zel from Baldur’s Gate 3 to battle illithids and other enemies, push back Queen Vlaakith, and determine the fate of the githyanki.

The role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3 has captured the hearts of many gamers, introducing players more closely to the fantasy world of the Forgotten Realms, where unforgettable events and lethal dangers await adventurers at every turn.

Photographer Elena Vesania and cosplayer XenyaMorph also visited the universe of this RPG from Larian Studios. During the photoshoot, the model took on the role of the fierce githyanki warrior Lae’zel.

Just like the main character, Lae’zel is infected with a parasite larva at the very beginning of the story, forcing her to join forces with members of other races whom she initially views with deep contempt. She has a lean, sinewy, and muscular physique that marks her as a trained combatant.

Lae’zel’s skin has a characteristic greenish-yellow shade and is covered with dark spots reminiscent of a leopard pattern. Her facial features are sharp and predatory, featuring long pointed ears, an upturned flat nose resembling a cat’s, and piercing hazel-yellow eyes.

Her long dark brown hair is typically styled in an elaborate braided updo to keep it out of her face during combat, and by default, she wears the heavy forged armor of her people. Lae’zel’s personality is harsh, uncompromising, and extremely aggressive. She does not waste time on small talk, sentiment, or diplomacy, preferring to resolve any problems using force and her greatsword.

When interacting with others, she is often arrogant, rude, and abrupt, sincerely viewing the inhabitants of Faerûn as “inferior” beings. Despite her initial coldness, Lae’zel’s character reveals a new, profound side as the story progresses. If you earn her trust, behind the mask of a ruthless warrior lies a loyal friend and a person capable of deep emotion.

During her personal storyline, she faces a severe crisis of faith and the betrayal of the idealized world she believed in since childhood. This forces her to rethink her values, learn compassion, and make a difficult choice between blind loyalty to her tyrannical deity and the freedom of her people.
