At MF Bunko!’s Autumn School Festival 2025, the Re:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World panel confirmed that the fourth season is slated to debut in April 2026. The announcement arrived with the season’s first key visual and main promotional video, and the reveal that Tomokazu Sugita will voice Reid Astrea — the original Sword Saint and progenitor of the Astrea line. The first three seasons are available on Crunchyroll, and the platform is expected to carry the new season as well.

Per the official synopsis, the story continues in the aftermath of the devastating clash at Priestella. Subaru and his allies secured victory, but at grave cost: Rem remains trapped in an endless sleep under the “Authority of Gluttony,” while Crusch has lost her memories and even Julius’s name has been erased. In search of a solution, Subaru learns of Shaula, a “wise man” rumored to possess boundless knowledge. His quest takes him to the Pleiades Watchtower, the most remote tower in the perilous Auguria Dunes — a desert so unforgiving that even the legendary Sword Saint Reinhard could not conquer it. There, Subaru and his companions must confront brutal elements, unknown mabeasts, and threats beyond their imagination as they fight to reclaim what was lost.

The season’s core staff includes Masahiro Shinohara returning to direct at White Fox, series composition by Masahiro Yokotani, character designs by Haruka Sagawa, and a score by Kenichiro Suehiro (known for work on Fire Force and Golden Kamuy). The anime adapts Tappei Nagatsuki’s original light novels.

Re:ZERO follows Natsuki Subaru, an ordinary student who is suddenly transported to a strange fantasy realm. After befriending a silver-haired girl, Subaru discovers a cruel ability: when he dies, time rewinds to his last “save point.” Each death forces him to endure loss and learn from failure as he repeatedly attempts to steer events toward a better outcome.
