Heir to “Heroes of Might and Magic III” to Receive New Content as Songs of Conquest Gears Up for a Busy 2026

The creators of Songs of Conquest have published their update roadmap for the PC edition of the pixel-art strategy game.

On December 7, 2025 the Tales update will launch, with Mehri as its central character. The Tales concept comprises narrative missions that aim to answer several longstanding questions from the campaign.

The team mentions a subtle rebrand — story maps will be grouped into a single section and presented with updated menus and layout.

The next major add-on, Tale of Kastus Maal, is planned for spring 2026. This DLC will introduce a new Magister, four missions, fresh gameplay mechanics, and new artifacts. The only thing not planned is a new “Song,” since creating one demands significant resources.

The developers also confirmed they are actively developing a new faction called Yulan, inspired by Chinese motifs. The team has begun the animation stage and unveiled the first units.

The Rise Eternal expansion is also slated to arrive in spring 2026.
