Hayden Christensen Rumored to Return in Potential Darth Vader Film
Hayden Christensen has reportedly signed a new deal with Disney and Lucasfilm to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader in a solo project, following an earlier insider report about his involvement in multiple new Lucasfilm productions outside of the second season of Ahsoka.
According to anonymous insider Culture Cave, Christensen signed a new contract with Disney and Lucasfilm that will allow him to return as the character in a standalone project.
Neither Disney nor Lucasfilm has confirmed the deal or the development of a solo film, and major industry outlets have not corroborated the contract signing. However, in May, reliable insider Daniel Richtman stated that Lucasfilm plans to feature Christensen in at least two projects following the second season of Ahsoka.

Christensen has frequently expressed a desire to continue Anakin’s story. He recently suggested reuniting the lead actors from the prequel trilogy and shared his specific interest in an adaptation centered on the Clone Wars:
“I know Ewan McGregor would love to do something else. I’ve heard Natalie would be open to returning as well. Samuel Jackson. So we could get the whole team back together.”
The second season of Ahsoka is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on January 20, 2027.
