Halo Studios Begins Layoffs Following Release of Halo Campaign Evolved
Halo Studios has not yet officially commented on the scale of the new wave of layoffs or disclosed the number of employees affected.
Several Halo Studios employees reported cutbacks at the company. Among those laid off was producer Nick Treitman, who worked on the Halo franchise for six and a half years.
He stated that over the years he managed to avoid several previous waves of layoffs, but the current reductions affected him as well. Treitman noted that he feels warmly about the Halo series and his former colleagues, calling the events “the harsh reality of the gaming industry.” During his time there, he participated in supporting teams responsible for art direction, networking, localization, and narrative.

Paul Morris, who held the position of coach, also announced the end of his work at Halo Studios. He clarified that he worked at the studio on a contract basis. Morris stated that his collaboration ended immediately after the successful launch of Halo: Campaign Evolved and acknowledged that the gaming market is currently experiencing one of its most difficult periods in terms of job hunting.
Additionally, software engineer Caleb Lawrence updated his profile to indicate that he is looking for a new job, which indirectly confirms the ongoing layoffs.
