Halo Fans Announce “Frostbite” — A New Game in the Franchise
Fans produce not only minor mods but ambitious, large-scale projects.
Recently, a group of modders called Ringworld Studios announced the Halo Frostbite project and unveiled a trailer.
Chronologically, Frostbite is set closer to the climax of Halo 2. At the center of the story is an elite strike team sent to investigate a mysterious signal on the frozen world Sidewinder:
“What begins as an unusual reconnaissance mission quickly unravels into a lethal web of betrayal, buried secrets, and a clandestine war between human and alien factions.”
The modders emphasized they are developing Halo Frostbite “not for financial gain” but for the community. The release is slated for Christmas 2026.
