With Empress currently inactive, other individuals are stepping in to tackle Denuvo.

The hacker operating under the handle voices38 has returned with a new PC release. Recently he managed to overcome the formidable DRM in Starlink: Battle for Atlas, and has now turned his attention to another older title.

He succeeded in bypassing the Denuvo protection in Shining Resonance Refrain, a SEGA release from 2018.

Voices38 is not the first to attempt this game: previous contributors published several hacks, but those either failed on modern PCs or ceased functioning after a Windows update.

The new solution is presented as fully operational, and for the first time voices38 has released a complete NFO file — notably without the flashy rhetoric associated with Empress, opting instead for a concise official description of the game.
