GTA V Players Believe They Found a Reference to the GTA VI Map

The hunt for new developer teasers continues.

While Rockstar Games has not published new promotional materials for Grand Theft Auto VI, players continue searching for potential teasers and other surprises. Several weeks ago, Rockstar Games released the major “The Kortz Center Heist” update for GTA Online, adding a new heist and paintings to the game.

One of these paintings strongly reminded players of the Leonida state map from Grand Theft Auto VI. This discovery excited studio fans, prompting them to search for other signals from the developers.

Now, user JaneBunnFan has published another screenshot of a find in the Grand Theft Auto VI waiting community. Inside a building, players found a painting that some believe is another reference to the map from the new installment of the GTA franchise. The image purportedly shows a general layout of the main islands and the surrounding water.

One discussion participant, The_War_In_Me, noted that processing the image reveals something genuinely resembling the fan-made GTA VI map:

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release in November of this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar Games has not yet specified a precise release date or a release window for the PC version.
